Collaborations
are too common these days. However, the reason here is clear, The Midwest is
turning out high-caliber goods. The quality and minimalism from both StanRidge
and Nonetheless Garments are apparent. Adam Ridge and Jonathan Shaun also saw
an opportunity to demonstrate that the Midwest has what it takes to offer
beautifully functional excellence. The “Molloy” Custom Bicycle is just one
example. The two Midwest Makers are working together on garments, which will
be forthcoming.

LETTER FROM THE EDITOR: Authentic Makers can’t design one-dimensionally in this rapid life. We must cross-pollinate and make functional possessions for communities other than ours. A product must be manufactured to have long after life. How do we do this? Make spot on objects embedded with quality and timeless purpose. It doesn’t matter if you start by, metal, reclaimed wood, stone, recycled materials, and/or organic soil. As a Designer you have future generations to protect.
In these; “Flash & Trash” Fashion times, The “F” Word needs to go away as fast as it came – but never forgotten. There is much history to be read - good and bad. Fashion will never be rid of this forever 21st Century due to massive trash left behind in the counterfeit flash of greed.
Case in Point; Think before you buy. Shop Local. Buy American when you can (unless – it’s amazing) and pass it on after you're done.

It's official; Nonetheless Garments will take over the Connect retail shop in Wicker Park. The concept is a Made in America Gallery + Design Studio. We will only be open to the public domain on the weekend. The new environment will be heavy on U.S.A products. We will stock other brands like; Mission Workshop and other like-minded products made here in the North Americas. We will stock; Made in Chicago Bicycles too.
Grand Opening To Be Announced. A May 1st opening is likely. (A HugeThank you to Ian Bennett for constructing my design studio wall & the fitting rooms. Isn't it amazing? Stoked!

INTRODUCING: The Molloy icon.
This icon spawns from the words of our late Co-Founder; “We need a logo… Shaun!”
As many of you know, I typically avoid logos. However, at my partner’s urging, we created a meaningful icon. I chose the logo for its multi-dimensional attributes. Layers within the design represent three pillars of life – people/planet/profit – all foundational to my beliefs. The image captures the magnitude of both mountains & ocean, equally beloved by Neil H. Molloy (as well as our small crew.)
The Molloy icon speaks to the fleeting beauty of freedom, as a bird’s wide-reaching wings are apparent in the design. Which begs the question; Why remain still when the boundless sky awaits?

* A very special thank you to Sheila Colleen Regan for editing and adding to my words.
